We don’t have a clear vision
Having a clear cut vision of our goals provides us with a strategic road map. It allows us to define where we are in this moment and see the destination we aim to arrive at. From what I know when it comes to reaching a new destination, having a map is pretty damn useful. Unfortunately you can’t punch this destination into Google Maps, you have to do this on your own. The problem is that many of us don’t take the time to develop this vision of our goals and the future we desire, as a result we lack direction and focus and this dampens our ability to take action. A clear vision not only gives us this direction and focus, but it also allows us to open up endless possibilities and it will help keep us on track when the inevitable shit storm of life passes through. Having a clear vision provides us with purpose, it allows us to discover our why and is without a doubt one the most powerful tools that we can utilise to achieve our goals. Create the vision -Think big, do not allow your past or current circumstances to limit your possibilities/goals. -See your vision in your minds eye -Connect to why you want to achieve this vision and its significance in your life. -Define what action you need to take to reach this vision -Understand what will happen if you fail to take action. -Make the vision real by writing it down We lack patience We live in an instant gratification world, we all want our goals yesterday, with social media promising us quick fixes daily its weird to think that getting shredded abs or that bikini body could take more than a week. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but these things take time. Wheatear the goal is centred around your health, wealth, your relationships or anything else in between, you are going to need to buckle up and settle in for the long ride because when it comes down to it if you truly want to achieve your goals you are going to need a bucket load of patience. The key is to set long term goals, be realistic with what you can achieve at any given time and stay focused on long term success, not short term gratification. We are entitled The era of participation awards have fucked us right up, I know it fucked me up for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. We have been conditioned to believe that we are automatically entitled to reach our goals and be rich in success but the reality is this world and everyone and everything in it owes us absolutely nothing at all. Our goals and dreams are ours, it is us alone who needs to commit to them and put in the work required to reach them, we need to understand they won’t show up on a silver plater. If you are sitting around waiting for this plater to arrive, then get comfortable because you are going to be waiting forever. Nothing is coming unless we, through our work, commitment and dedication to our goals will it to. In the end wheatear you reach your goals or not, it all falls on you.

We all stress. As discussed last week, there is no escaping its clutches. But accepting this fact and allowing our stressors to compound and crush us is counterproductive to living a happy, healthy and fulfilled life.
Aren’t we a bunch of stress heads.
